White Wedding Part 2
Emma is outraged when she finds out Spike may have an abortion. She encourages Spike to talk it over with Snake first, but Spike seems hesitant after hearing Snake say that he doesn't want kids right now. Emma vents to Manny, and Manny tells Emma to relax, not to get involved, and to let Snake and Spike work through this themselves. Emma decides to intervene, despite Manny's advice. She walks to Joey's, where Snake's bachelor party is taking place. She tells Snake about the pregnancy, and possible abortion. Snake is upset and snaps at Emma: "Why are you here telling me this Why not your mom? What kind of family is this?" Emma cries.
The next day is the day of the wedding, and everyone is unsure if the wedding will even take place. No one's been able to reach Snake, until he burts into the house the next morning, still upset that Spike hid the news of her pregnancy from him. He demands an explaination right away, but Spike says she'd rather talk about in private. So the two of them leave the house and go for a walk together to discuss what they're going to do. Meanwhile everyone else continues preparing for the wedding that may, or may not, take place.
Emma goes to Sean to seek advice. She feels responsible because she shouldn't have intervened in Snake and Spike's personal business. She fears that everyone will hate her for ruining the wedding. Sean tells Emma that she's always intervening and being nosey, but she means well, and no one will hate her. He tells her that everything will work out. Emma re-invites Sean to the wedding after their heart to heart.
Spike and Snake discuss the pros and cons of having a baby. Snake says that the timing isn't right because they have to adjust to moving in together and being married first. Spike tells him that the timing for a baby may never be perfect. The timing wasn't perfect when she had Emma, but she doesn't regret having her one bit. Snake wonders if maybe they're moving too fast; getting married after dating for only a year. They go back and forth for a bit. However, in the end they ultimately decide that they love each other and they want to be together, so they rush to the chapel and make it just in time to have their wedding ceremony.
At the wedding reception, everyone seems in good spirits. Spike and Snake are happily married and welcoming the arrival of the new baby. And Sean shows up. Emma approaches him and they begin to slow dance. They both lean in and share their first kiss...cue freeze frame and the episode has a happy ending.
In the sub-plot, Toby and JT camp outside of Joey's house so they can spy on the stripper at the bachelor party.
This was a decent two part episode, overall. I discussed most of my minor issues with the episode in the Part 1 review. The news of Spike's pregnancy wasn't as shocking or intense as it was intended to be by the writers. And the issue was resolved rather quickly, as both Snake and Spike realized they want a baby just in time to go through with their wedding. The episode was a little cheesy and predictable, but there were also some good moments. Sean and Emma's first kiss was great. And the sub-plot had some pretty funny moments too.
Overall, entertaining yet slightly predictable and cheesy.
